“2016 World Robot Competition” was held from 20 to 25 October in Beijing. Liu Yandong, the committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the vice-premier of the State Council, gave a speech in the opening ceremony. Guo Jinlong, the committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the secretary of Beijing municipal Party committee and Wan Gang, the vice-president of C.P.C.C., minister of Science and Technology Ministry and the president of China Science Association, attended the ceremony. As one of the three sections, “2016 World Robot Competition”, the competition with the highest technology content, widest subjects, most visitors and best example of exhibition, was held. It’s said that with about 500 teams, over 1,300 people, 6 big matches and 19 small matches, the competition was known as the Olympic Games of robots. 

It’s said that the world robot competition responded to what Xi Jinpin said in the general meeting of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering about the development of robot industries and the promotion of the innovation-driven development strategy, realizing the leaping development of domestic robot technology and industries. This competition was held by Beijing government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Association for Science and Technology.

Our company took part in the water matches of “2016 World Robot Competition”. Zheng Xuxu, the president of our company, guided the team in Beijing. Our team did not disappoint the company and won the first place of the water match of “2016 World Robot Competition”. Jia Qinglin, the former committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the president of C.P.P.C.C. And Zhou Yuanqing, the former minister of the Ministry of Education greeted Greatoo. And Jia listened carefully to Greatoo’s introduction of its products and gave high praise.

As an important section of the competition, the water matches, mainly the intelligent simulate fishes matches, and other industrial projects and scientific research projects greatly showed technical challenges and were highly appreciative. In the competition site, according to the program set before, robotic fish examined the old piles, performed the rescue on land, under the sea and in the air, caught sea cucumber, joined the water ball matches and showed synchronized swimming. As the most attractive match, the water ball match had the same rules as football matches. The competitors should shoot balls as much as possible in two sections and each section lasted for 5 minutes. It’s the 8^th international water matches for robots which was held in Beijing for the first time.
